The buds and leaves of *Camellia sinensis* O. Ktze., a plant in the Theaceae family.
【Characteristics】
Evergreen shrub or small tree, up to 1m tall, glabrous. Stems smooth, greyish-white. Single leaves alternate; petioles 0.3~1.5cm long; leaves leathery, ovate to elliptical, 5~10cm long, 2.5~6cm wide, margin with fine shallow serrations, dark brown and glossy above, light green below, yellowish when dry.
