The surface of pomelo is smooth and hairless, with wrinkles and small dimples. The inner surface is mostly yellowish-white, with venation. 【Identification Terminology】n

1. Luo (絡, network): Refers to the reticulated vascular bundles between the mesocarp and endocarp of fruit-type medicinal materials, and the fibrous vascular bundles in mature fruits. Examples include Ju Luo (Citrus Fibers) and Si Gua Luo (Luffa Fibers).
n2. Fengwei Ju Luo (鳳尾橘絡, Phoenix Tail Citrus Fibers): A processed specification of Ju Luo. The Ju Luo is taken together with the orange pedicel, and the vascular bundles are straightened like a phoenix tail. When dried to 80-90%, it is sealed and pressed into a rectangular brick shape, then baked or dried completely.
n3. Ban (瓣, segment): Refers to the split part of a fruit-type medicinal material, the cotyledons that split open in the seed kernel, and the fruit peel that is processed and cut into several separate pieces. The latter is also called “zhua (爪, claw)”, such as Huazhou Ju Hong (Citrus Peel).
