Flowers of Jasminum sambac (L.) Ait., belonging to the Oleaceae family.
【Characteristics】
The dried flowers are 1.5-2cm long and approximately 1cm in diameter. They are white when fresh, turning yellowish-brown to brownish-brown when dry, with a slightly darker color at the base of the corolla tube. Unopened flower buds are tightly stacked into a spherical shape. The calyx is tubular with 8-10 slender teeth, and the outer surface has longitudinal wrinkled lines covered with sparse short hairs. The petals are oval, with a short pointed or blunt tip and a tubular base. It has a fragrant aroma and an astringent taste.
