 【Botanical Origin】

The fruit of Vaccinium bracteatum Thunb. in the Ericaceae family.

 【Property】

The dried fruit is spherical, 4-5mm in diameter. The surface is dark reddish-brown, slightly wrinkled, and has a persistent calyx. The calyx tube is campanulate (bell-shaped) with 5 shallow lobes at the apex. The triangular lobes cover about 2/3 or more of the fruit. The apex has a yellow dotted pistil scar. The base often has a fruit stalk. It tastes sour and slightly sweet.
