The tuberous root of Cynanchum bungei Decne.
【Characteristics】
The dried tuberous root is cylindrical or nearly spherical, 5-10cm long and about 1.5-3.5cm in diameter. The surface is yellowish-brown, often wrinkled, and the cork layer is easily peeled off in layers. It is hard in texture, with a white, powdery cross-section. It has no odor and a bitter, sweet, and astringent taste.
