【Characteristics】
The stem is quadrangular, grayish-green, with longitudinal grooves and sparse hairs; it is hard, easily broken, with a fibrous fracture, and a white pith in the center or already hollow. The leaves are brownish-yellow, brittle, mostly shriveled and broken, and hairy. The top has flower spikes, the spicate inflorescence is slender, and yellowish-brown petals can be seen, sometimes with fruit spikes. It has a slight odor and a slightly bitter taste.
