Small head, filiform antennae, eyes at the base of the antennae, three pairs of segmented legs, and the whole body is purplish-red or dark red. Slightly salty taste, with a fishy odor.

 【Identification】

The best quality is dry, large and complete, without pests, and not scorched.

 【Identification Terminology】

(Modern Terminology) 1. Body segments: Generally refers to roughly identical segments that make up the bodies of annelids, etc. Each segment has its own ganglion, ring blood vessel, and excretory tube, etc.
The Hebei Ground Beetle is slightly longer and larger than the Tu Ground Beetle, with a small round black spot on each segment of the chest and abdomen; while the Golden-edged Tu Ground Beetle has a glossy black-brown back with a narrow yellow edge, hence the name “Golden-edged Tu Ground Beetle”.
