It is the dried whole insect of the cricket family, cricket Gryllulus chinensis Weber.
[Characteristics]
The dried insect body is 1.5-2.2cm long and about 5mm wide. The head is slightly triangular. There is 1 pair of compound eyes, oval in shape, with a long diameter of about 1mm. There is 1 pair of antennae, mostly fallen off. The pronotum is slightly rectangular, and the middle and posterior thorax are covered by wings. There is 1 pair of caudal filaments, 1-3mm long. Female insects have an ovipositor between the caudal filaments, about 1cm long. There are 3 pairs of legs, mostly fallen off. It has a distinctive odor.

The best quality is dry, intact, black in color, with strong legs, free of mud and insect damage.
