Solid matter naturally precipitated from human urine.
【Characteristics】
It appears as irregular fragments of varying sizes and thicknesses, generally about 3-5mm thick. The outer surface is grayish-white, smooth, or uneven with nodular protrusions; sometimes one side is smooth, while the other side is porous and uneven. It is hard and brittle, easily broken, and has a layered cross-section. It has a urine odor.

《Zheng Lei Ben Cao》: “Urine from boys is preferred.” 《Ru Men Shi Qin》: “Ren Zhong Bai (Urine Sediment) is best in the twelfth lunar month.” 《Ben Cao Gang Mu》: “That which has been dried by wind and sun for a long time is good.” 《Yao Xing Qie Yong》: “It is best to scrape it from the urine buckets of boys.” 《Wen Tang Ji Yan Fang》: “Use Ren Zhong Bai (Urine Sediment) in the early stages. (That is, the white sediment that settles in the urine jar over many years. That which is dry, grayish-white in color, hard in texture, and free of impurities is good. Dark gray in color, with brick debris and impurities, is not suitable for medicinal use.
