 【Origin】

It is the dried blood clot of the Chinese Goral, *Naemorhedus goral* Hardwicke, an animal of the Bovidae family.

 【Characteristics】

Dried blood, in the form of clumps or flakes, dark brown or dark purple in color, slightly shiny. Light in weight, with a fishy odor.

 【Identification】

The best quality is dark purple and shiny. To identify genuine goat blood, put a small amount of the blood into a bowl of clear water. If the blood rises from the bottom of the bowl in a thread-like blood filament that does not disperse, it is genuine.
