 【Botanical Origin】

It is the meat of the python, Python molurus bivittatus Schlegel, a member of the Pythonidae family. Alternatively, the dried body of various snake species, with internal organs and skin removed, is used under the medicinal name “Snake Meat“.

 【Characteristics】

The meat is off-white or slightly yellowish. If intact, it is about 15-25 cm long, or it may be broken into pieces. The surface has longitudinal muscle striations. It has a slightly fishy odor and a slightly salty taste.

 【Identification】

The best quality is intact, dry, and white in color.
