Dried fecal pellets of the Mongolian hare (Lepus tolia Pallas), Manchurian hare (Lepus mandschuricus Radde), Plateau hare (Lepus oiostolus Hodgson), South China hare (Lepus sinensis Gray), and other wild hares of the Leporidae family.

Spherical or slightly flattened spheres, 9-2mm long and 6-9mm in diameter. Surface is rough with herbaceous fibers, light brown or grayish-yellow inside and out. Light and easily broken, crumbling into a disordered mass of grass when rubbed. Fresh ones have a foul odor, while dry ones are odorless. Taste is slightly bitter and pungent.
