【Botanical Origin】
Verdigris is the green basic copper carbonate CuCO3·Cu(OH)2 formed on the surface of copper after it is oxidized by moisture in the air, or it can be an artificially processed product or natural malachite.
【Appearance】
Naturally occurring verdigris is in irregular pieces and is greenish-blue in color. Artificially made verdigris is rectangular, about 5 cm long, about 2 cm wide, and about 0.2-0.5 cm thick; the outside is green, and the inside is yellowish-brown or light green. It is hard and brittle, easily broken and ground into powder. The powder is light green.

The best quality is green and free of impurities.
