【Formula Explanation】

《Yi Lüe Liu Shu》: Heat binds in the bladder, Qi transformation is impaired, and the urinary orifices are not free, hence the urethral pain, reddish urine, and dribbling that doesn’t stop. Yin Chen (Herba Artemisiae Scopariae) clears damp-heat to treat lin syndrome, Hua Shi (Talcum) unblocks the orifices to promote urination, raw Gan Cao (Radix Glycyrrhizae) drains fire and alleviates urethral pain, Mu Tong (Caulis Akebiae) descends fire and promotes water in the small intestine, Shan Zhi Zi (Fructus Gardeniae) clears heat in the Triple Burner, Chi Shao (Radix Paeoniae Rubra) benefits blood in the bladder, red Fu Ling (Poria rubra) drains dampness from the blood aspect to clear the water passages, and Zhu Ye (Folium Bambusae) clears heat above the diaphragm to facilitate the water pathways. Made into a powder and taken with a Deng Xin Cao (Medulla Junci) decoction, it allows the heat binding to open quickly, so that the bladder has untransformed Qi, and the water passages have clear fluid; why worry about dribbling that is not quick and stabbing pain that does not heal? This is a free-flowing formula, a specialized formula for dribbling and stabbing pain.
