n 【Characteristics】n

Total length less than 20cm. Head triangular, no eyelids, rostral scale incising the nostrils, back gray-black or silver-gray, scales small, back covered with numerous irregular warty scales. Both fore and hind limbs have 5 toes each, no webbing between the toes, toes are enlarged, the 1st toe has no claw, the bottom of the toes has a single row of skin flaps. Tail slender, long, and flattened. Has a fishy odor, and a slightly salty taste.
