 【Origin】

Processed product of Ren Zhong Bai (Human Middle White) and table salt. In ancient times, it was also processed from human urine, autumn dew, and Gypsum.

 【Characteristics】

(1) Dan Qiu Shi (Autumn Stone): Mostly grayish-white or light red small cubes, the surface is not very smooth and has no luster. Hard and brittle. Bland in taste.
(2) Xian Qiu Shi (Autumn Stone): Pen Qiu Shi (Autumn Stone): Bowl-shaped or 馒头-shaped crystalline masses, pure white or light yellow, with luster, often with air bubbles. Hard in texture. Salty taste.

《Chi Shui Xuan Zhu Quan Ji Dan (Complete Collection of Elixirs from the Dark Pearl of the Red River)》: “Take Qiu Shi (Autumn Stone). Take the essence, then mix with autumn dew and dry in the sun, and then regenerate it, with a light color and sweet taste being the best.” 《Jing Yan Dan Fang Hui Bian (Compilation of Experienced Elixir Formulas)》: “Qiu Shi (Autumn Stone), the snow-bright one is genuine”, “Qiu Shi (Autumn Stone), the one that easily melts in the mouth is genuine”.
1. Qiu Shi (Autumn Stone) with a white color and no impurities is preferred.
2. Dan Qiu Shi (Autumn Stone): Block shapes without broken powder are preferred.
