【Botanical Origin】
The dried feces of bats of the Vespertilionidae family, such as Vespertilio superans Thomas, or bats of the Rhinolophidae family, such as Rhinolophus ferrumequinum Schreber.
【Appearance】
It consists of long oval granules, slightly pointed at both ends, 5-7 mm long and approximately 2 mm in diameter. The surface is rough, brownish-brown or greyish-brown. When broken, it appears as small granules or powder. When observed under a magnifying glass, you can see shiny brown or yellowish-brown insect heads, eyes, and small wings. It has no odor and a slightly bitter and pungent taste.
【Identification】
The best quality is dry, without sand or soil, brownish-brown in color, light in texture, without a gritty (sandy) feel when chewed, and has small shiny spots.
