 【Origin】

The dried feces of bats of the Vespertilionidae family, Vespertilio superans Thomas, or bats of the Rhinolophidae family, Rhinolophus ferrumequinum Schreber.

 【Characteristics】

It consists of long oval-shaped granules, slightly pointed at both ends, 5-7 mm long and about 2 mm in diameter. The surface is rough, brownish-brown or greyish-brown. When broken, it appears as small granules or powder. When observed under a magnifying glass, shiny brown or yellowish-brown insect heads, eyes, and small wings can be seen. It has no odor, and its taste is slightly bitter and pungent.

 【Identification】

The best quality is dry, free of sand and soil, brownish-brown in color, light in weight, and has no sandy feeling when chewed, and has small shiny spots.
