【Character】
The dried flower buds are slightly oblong-ovate, 1.5-2cm long and 6-8mm in diameter. The upper part is relatively enlarged, and the base has a pedicel; the calyx is green, wrinkled and uneven, connected at the base, with 5 lobes; there are 5 petals, light yellowish-white or grayish-yellow, overlapping like tiles at the top, with longitudinal stripes on the surface; there are several bundles of stamens inside, yellow; there is a pistil in the center, which is rod-shaped, with an obovate ovary and dark green color. It is brittle and easily broken. It has a fragrant smell and a slightly bitter taste.
