 【Botanical Origin】

It is the leaf of Eucommia ulmoides Oliv. of the Eucommiaceae family.

 【Appearance】

Mostly wrinkled and fragmented. When flattened, intact leaves are elliptical or ovate, 6-14cm long, 3-7cm wide, and dark yellowish-green. The apex is acuminate, the base is rounded or broadly cuneate, and the margin is serrated. The underside of the veins has soft hairs. The petiole is 1-1.5cm long. It is brittle, and elastic silvery-white rubber threads are visible when broken. It has a slight odor and a slightly bitter taste.

The best quality leaves are complete, yellowish-green in color, and free of impurities.
