【Botanical Origin】
It is the dried larva of the insect Holotrichia diomphalia Bates of the Scarabaeidae family or other closely related insects.
【Appearance】
The dried larvae are long cylindrical or curved into a flat kidney shape, about 3cm long and 1-1.2cm wide. They are brownish-yellow, brownish-brown, or yellowish-white. The whole body has segments, the head is small and brownish-brown, the body shell is hard and brittle, and the inside of the body is vacuolar. It has a slightly foul odor.
【Identification】
The best ones are those that are dry, yellow in color, large in size, and intact.
