[Formula Explanation]
According to “Fang Ji Xue Tang”, Huang Bai clears heat, and Cang Zhu dries dampness. These two herbs combined form “Er Miao San” and are the main herbs in this formula. Yi Yi Ren is added to strengthen the heat-clearing and dampness-draining action, making it a secondary herb. Niu Xi dispels wind-dampness, benefits the liver and kidneys, and guides the medicinal effects downward. When Niu Xi is combined with “Er Miao San”, it becomes “San Miao San” and serves as the guiding herb.

Clears heat and benefits dampness, unblocks sinews and alleviates Bi syndrome.

Damp-heat pouring downward, numbness and pain in the sinews and bones of the lower extremities, etc.

Erysipelas, acute and chronic nephritis, eczema, osteomyelitis, arthritis, etc.

Avoid alcohol, rich and sweet foods. Contraindicated for Yin deficiency.

Er Miao (two marvels) has white hair (Bai, Cang) and recalls his wife (Yi, Xi).
