【Formula Explanation】
《Han Dian》: Smilax glabra Roxb. (Tu Fuling) (Shan Gui Lai) and Lonicera japonica (Jinyinhua) both have detoxification effects and can treat carbuncles and dispel heat. Angelica sinensis (Danggui) and Ligusticum chuanxiong (Chuanxiong) can tonify blood and eliminate sores and ulcers. Poria cocos (Fuling), Akebia trifoliata (Mutong), Citrus reticulata (Chenpi), etc., are all medicines for eliminating damp-heat and removing water toxin. If bowel movements are normal, Rheum officinale (Dahuang) should be removed. 【Function】
Clears heat and detoxifies, dispels dampness and dissipates stagnation, promotes diuresis and stops leukorrhea.
【Indication】
Damp-heat accumulation, conditions involving foul-smelling discharge, white or yellow leukorrhea, leukorrhea due to gonorrhea, and head sores in women caused by leukorrhea. It is used for gynecological disorders with slight anemia, mild abdominal tension, and leukorrhea as the main complaint.
【Suitable Conditions】
Various types of leukorrhea, whether white, yellow, gonorrheal, or trichomonal, are suitable if there is no severe inflammation or congestion, and the course is subacute or chronic.
