【Analysis】
“Shan Bu”: Ke Qin said: This is the Xie Xin Tang for Shaoyin disease. When dispelling the heart, one must rely on Lian and Qin, and there are distinctions between yin and yang in guiding. … Use Qin and Lian to directly break the heart fire, use Donkey-hide Gelatin to nourish the kidney yin, egg yolk assists Qin and Lian in supplementing heart blood while dispelling the heart, and peony assists Donkey-hide Gelatin in nourishing yin to converge yin qi. This is how the heart and kidney communicate, and water rises and fire descends. Therefore, the formula for supporting yin and dispelling yang is transformed into a prescription for nourishing yin and harmonizing yang. This is how the fire of Shaoyin returns to its proper place, and the vexation in the heart that prevents sleep can be removed. The Classic says: When yin is tranquil and yang is in balance, the spirit will be governed. Is this formula not it?
