【Formula Analysis】
“Medical Formulas”: This formula belongs to the Foot Taiyang and Yangming meridians. (1) Ban Xia (Pinellia Rhizome) and Sheng Jiang (Fresh Ginger): Promote water metabolism and dispel rebellious Qi, effectively stopping vomiting. (2) Fu Ling (Poria): Calms the heart Qi and drains kidney evil, promoting urination. (3) When fire descends due to water metabolism, palpitations and dizziness subside, and fullness dissipates. “Chinese Dictionary”: This formula is used targeting vomiting; however, it must be distinguished from the water-rebellious vomiting of Wu Ling San (Five Ingredient Powder with Poria). While this formula is also used for vomiting due to water retention in the stomach, it lacks the severe thirst seen in Wu Ling San (Five Ingredient Powder with Poria), but instead presents with nausea.
