【Formula Principles】

《Yifang (Medical Prescriptions)》: Medications for Hand Shaoyin, Foot Shaoyin, Foot Jueyin, and Yangming channels. (1)Rhizoma Dioscoreae Hypoglaucae: Drains damp-heat from Yangming and Jueyin channels, clarifying the turbid. (2)Radix Linderae: Dispels pathogenic qi, expels cold, and warms the Kidneys. (3)Fructus Alpiniae Oxyphyllae: A Spleen herb, also enters the Heart and Kidneys, consolidating Kidney Qi and dispersing stagnation. (4)Rhizoma Acori Graminei: Opens the nine orifices and unblocks the Heart. (5)Radix Glycyrrhizae (tip): Reaches the urethra to relieve pain. (6) When damp-heat is removed and the Heart and Kidneys are unblocked, Qi transformation proceeds, and strangury due to turbidity stops. This formula aims to stop the condition through dredging and expelling.

【Modifications】

(1) If accompanied by Qi deficiency, add Four Gentlemen Decoction to strengthen the Spleen, tonify Qi, and promote diuresis.

(2) If there is cold-damp leukorrhea, add Radix Aconiti Lateralis Praeparata, Cortex Cinnamomi, Semen Cuscutae, Rhizoma Atractylodis, and Poria to enhance the effects of warming the Kidneys and resolving dampness.

(3) If there is lower back soreness and fatigue, add Radix Ginseng and Colla Cornus Cervi to tonify Kidney Qi.
