The processed slices have a yellowish-white outer skin, a firm texture, a white cut surface, are rich in powder, and have yellow vascular bundle dots, arranged in a slightly radial pattern. It is odorless, with a slightly sour and bitter taste.
【Identification】
《Distinguishing Good from Bad》: “After peeling, the flesh has few bumps, is heavy and smooth, is white in color, and has a pattern in the center, which is the genuine product.”
The best quality is dry, evenly sized, with large and robust pieces, few veins, a clean white color, sufficient powder, a firm and delicate texture, and plump and free from mold and insect damage; lower quality is old, small in size, light in weight, brown in color, with many fibers (many veins), and a bitter taste.
