【Rationale of the Formula】

According to “Annotations on Famous Doctors’ Formulas of Successive Dynasties”: In this formula, Radix Aconiti Kusnezoffii is used to expel cold-dampness, unblock collaterals, and resolve stubborn phlegm; Angelica sinensis, Musk, and Earthworm warm the meridians, nourish the blood, and open the collaterals; Vespae Calculus, Frankincense, and Myrrh invigorate blood and dispel stasis, reduce swelling and relieve pain; White Glue regulates qi and blood, and resolves carbuncles; Brucea javanica seeds expel phlegm toxins condensed inside the skin and membranes, reduce swelling and nodules, and treat malignant sores; Carbonized charcoal reduces swelling and dispels stasis; Glutinous rice nourishes stomach qi, and taken with wine, it enhances the efficacy of the drugs, allowing them to reach the affected area quickly. The entire formula works together to resolve phlegm and dampness, invigorate blood, and unblock collaterals.

 【Functions】

To resolve phlegm and consolidate masses, invigorate blood and relieve pain, reduce swellings and dissipate toxins.

 【Indications】

Carbuncles and sores with swelling and toxicity, phlegm nodules with flowing sores, early stages of flowing sores, and secondary phlegm nodules, scrofula, breast lumps, early stages of abdominal masses. Sores of unknown origin, early stages of yin carbuncles with unchanged skin color, hard swellings causing pain, and multiple abscesses.

 【Contraindications】

Contains Vespae Calculus, which is incompatible with Ginseng. Do not take with medicines containing ginseng on the same day. Avoid distilled spirits and cold foods. Pregnant women should not take this medicine.
