【Analysis】

According to 《The Study of Formulas》: This condition often arises from Qi stagnation and phlegm condensation, affecting the blood, leading to the aggregation of Qi and blood. Therefore, Sargassum, Kelp, and Kelp are used to resolve phlegm and soften nodules, serving as primary herbs for treating goiter; Green Orange Peel and Tangerine Peel疏肝理氣 (soothe the liver and regulate Qi); Angelica Sinensis, Sichuan Lovage Rhizome, and Angelica Pubescens Root invigorate blood to unblock the meridians. Combined with Qi-regulating herbs, this promotes harmonious Qi and blood, facilitating the resolution of goiter. Fritillary bulb, Forsythia Fruit disperse nodules and reduce swelling, while Licorice Root harmonizes the other herbs, collectively achieving the functions of resolving phlegm, softening nodules, regulating Qi, and invigorating blood.

 【Efficacy】

Early stage goiter, whether swollen or hard, red or not red, but not yet ruptured. Disharmony of Liver and Spleen, Qi stagnation and phlegm condensation. Stony goiter, hard as stone, immobile when pushed, with unchanged skin color.

 【Indications】

Thyroid enlargement, hyperthyroidism, lipoma, breast hyperplasia, tuberculous lymphadenitis, tuberculous peritonitis, furunculosis, etc.
