【Formula Analysis】

《Medical Formulas》: (1) This is a universal formula for external contraction in the Yang channels. (2) Wu Hegao said: In ancient times, when treating wind-cold, doctors had to differentiate the symptoms based on the six channels and use corresponding herbs. However, there were also cases where patients presented with fever, headache, chills, and nasal congestion, but the symptoms of the six channels were not very obvious. In these cases, doctors would generally use herbs that soothe the exterior and benefit Qi. This formula is such a formula. (3) Chuan Xiong, Ma Huang, Sheng Ma, Ge Gen, Bai Zhi, Zi Su, Chen Pi, Xiang Fu: These are all acrid and fragrant herbs that benefit Qi, so they can relieve symptoms of wind-cold due to Qi stagnation.
