【Functions】

Tonifies the lungs and stops cough.

 【Indications】

Deficiency-cold of the lungs and stomach, cough with wheezing, oppression and stuffiness in the chest and diaphragm, abdominal distension and fullness, sensation of blockage and shortness of breath, desire to drink cold liquids, dull pain in the throat and hiccups; also treats lung atrophy and consumptive cough, bloody sputum with foul smell, dry heaves, vexing heat, loss of voice, emaciation, fatigue, and reduced appetite. “Shan Bu”: Treats deficiency-cold of the lungs and stomach, cough with wheezing, and restlessness. Also treats chronic consumptive cough with bloody sputum of foul smell.
