【Formula Meaning】
From “Han Dian”: Weiling Tang is a combined formula of Pingwei San and Wuling San.
【Functions】
Spleen and stomach damaged by dampness and cold, food stagnation, cholera, vomiting, diarrhea, aching limbs, edema, abdominal distention, scanty urination.
【Actions】
In summer and autumn, the spleen and stomach are damaged by cold and dampness, leading to food stagnation, undifferentiated water and grain, persistent diarrhea, vomiting, limb pain, and scanty urination, and edema.
【Indications】
Acute gastroenteritis, acute gastritis, acute enteritis, acute nephritis, abdominal pain and dysentery, edema. From “Han Dian”: Commonly used for acute enteritis, indicated by diarrhea, thirst, slight fever, etc., and also effective for nephrosclerosis.
