【Formula Explanation】

This compound formula uses Angelica Sinensis (Danggui), White Peony Root (Baishao), Prepared Rehmannia Root (Shudihuang), and Szechuan Lovage Root (Chuanxiong) to nourish the Yin blood of the liver and kidneys. Rehmannia Root (Shengdihuang) nourishes Yin and cools blood. Ginseng (Renshen) and Licorice Root (Gancao) tonify the middle qi, as qi generation leads to blood generation. Additionally, Coptis Root (Huanglian) and Gardenia Fruit (Shanzhizi) are used to clear liver fire. Chrysanthemum Flower (Juhua) clears liver heat and brightens the eyes. Vitex Fruit (Manjingzi) and Angelica Dahurica (Baizhi) dispel wind-evil and clear the head and eyes. Platycodon Root (Jiegeng) guides all other herbs upwards. When combined, these herbs nourish Yin blood and supplement vital qi to address deficiency, while dispelling wind, clearing heat, benefiting the liver, and brightening the eyes to remove excess. By addressing both deficiency and excess, eye conditions gradually improve.
