[Formula Meaning]

“Multiple Formulas”: This formula is the Gui Fu Rehmannia Pill with the addition of Achyranthes Root and Plantain Seed. Gui Fu Rehmannia Pill, also known as Jin Gui Shen Qi Pill, primarily treats symptoms caused by kidney yang deficiency, such as sore waist and knees, seminal emission, impotence, and frequent urination at night, with the effect of warming and tonifying kidney yang. This formula further adds Plantain Seed to promote water elimination and channel urination, allowing water-evil to be expelled through urine. Achyranthes Root tonifies the liver and kidneys, strengthens the tendons and bones, and promotes urination. Used together, the herbs can both tonify the kidneys and assist yang, restoring normal qi transformation, and also promote water elimination and channel urination, allowing dampness to be expelled through urine, thus resolving the symptoms.
